• Jazz Band - wonderful job last night!  Report time for tomorrow's Barnes & Noble gig is 10:00am AT BARNES & NOBLE (Libbie Place).  - Reminder:  It is, and has always been, our policy that no one may leave a performance until all equipment has been "broken down."  Several of you forgot that last night.  It will not happen again.
• Seniors - please turn in your concert folders today (except for Jazz Band seniors).  Also, any school-owned instruments must be turned in - in working order and clean - as soon as possible.  All lockers must be cleaned out by next Friday, June 11th.
• Everyone (excluding Seniors) - your lockers must be cleaned out for the summer by Monday, June 14th.  Students may keep their locks and name-tags on their lockers over the summer, but nothing may be left in the locker, (especially your instrument!).  Anything not removed from the lockers by Wednesday, June 16th, will be thrown away.
• Got an idea for the 2010 Marching Band T-Shirt?  Get it to me ASAP!
• There will be several meetings next week for different groups of people.  Check the schedule below to make sure you know when your meeting will be held!

• So, we had 12 people late and 6 no-shows for this morning rehearsal.  Since this morning was our ONLY full band rehearsal before the concert (not counting the dress rehearsal), I'm not sure what to do or say about it.  I guess we'll just see how it goes.

• Pit Orchestra - very nice job last night!  Report time tonight is 6:30.
• Wind Ensemble - You sounded really great this morning.  The piece that we are working on for the spring trip is, by no means, an easy piece and you are really playing it well.  All we really have left to do with it is to clean it up and make it "flow" a little better.  A suggestion - a very short rehearsal during spring break?  Long enough to run the 3 pieces for the trip.  Please let me know what you think about this idea.

• I was pretty disgusted by what I found in the locker room yesterday afternoon.  If your locker was left opened, or unlocked, it has been emptied.  There will be locker inspections weekly from now on.  They will be for a test grade.  They will be held at random.  Nothing but your instrument, things you need for your instrument and other SCHOOL RELATED items may be in the lockers.  Music must be kept in your concert folder in the "Folder Holder" in the band room.   (All of this is in the Band Hanbook.  And you all signed that you had read that).

• Wind Ensemble - Nice sound this morning!  As a side note - some of your grades are suffering due to tardiness.  Remember that you are receiving a participation grade for this as well, so if you don't have pencils, music, valve oil, reeds, etc, - or if you leave your chair and stand out after rehearsal, points are being taken away.
